Mark is a former corporate executive who worked for over 25 years for three
of the world’s most admired global organizations- Johnson & Johnson,
Colgate-Palmolive and Sony Corporation. Mark has since gone on to establish
two successful businesses, The Newmark Group, an executive search firm,
and Careering Today, a job and career coaching organization.
Several years ago, Mark made
the decision to pursue his life-long passion— to be
a comedic performer, writer and producer. Many have called
this pursuit his “bucket list,” but Mark prefers
to think of it as his calling. As he likes to say, “Whoever
said ‘there are no second acts in
American life’ was a fool. It’s never
too late to pursue your dreams.” Mark is an accomplished comedian and
who has appeared at major comedy clubs on the East Coast including:

• The Comedy Shoppe
• Broadway Comedy Club
• Eastville Comedy Club
• Time Square Comedy Club,
• Joker’s Wild, Helium Comedy Club
• Comedy Cove and the Stress Factory.
He is also a favorite
at private events where audiences relate to his hilarious
insights on marriage, parenting, corporate life and living
in the suburbs.
Mark started his
career while still in college as a radio personality in
the Boston area at WERS-FM and WECB-AM.
He was also a writer for the PBS affiliate WGBH and has written material
for such veteran comedy headliners as Phyllis Diller, Norm Crosby and Foster
Mark counts as his comedic influences many of the pioneers of classic stand-up
comedy as well as current comedy favorites.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s
degree in Media and Communications from Emerson College
and a Master’s degree in Organization Psychology
and Behavior from Fairleigh-Dickinson University. He and
his wife Jody, have two children, Eric and Danny, and their
rescue wonder dog, Coqui. They live in the New York/New
